Final Project: Nightmare becomes reality

This is as close as I can possibly come to a nightmare I've been having since I was 4 or 5. It was very difficult to shoot, and the night before I had the nightmare again.
the dream changes every time I have it, but the basics stay the same.

Dad sees someone and is shot twice in front of mom and I. Mom tries to keep me from seeing, and tries to tell me everything will be ok. She tells me to be quiet, that we're going to play hide and seek. she helps me find my hiding place and turns to find her own. the intruder breaks in before she can move, and she is shot in the neck. she lands in front of my hiding place, eyes staring straight up, bleeding out before my eyes. the man walks around, not finding what he was looking for. he drags mom's body away, then kneels before my hiding place. he opens the door, and I am either shot in the face, strangled, or drowned.

My camera has a very odd idea of what is the correct exposure...


That's a lot of grey...


The bracketing became tiresome after a while, but it was worth it in the end.
I made the bunnies specifically for this assignment (I had just received my new modeling clay in the mail) and I found that the white paint had a LOT of blue in it when photographed. Who knew?
Also, while taking the low key pictures of my phone, I had terrible camera shake, even though I was using my tripod and had it braced pretty darn well. Kind of bugged me...
